TRENDS AND CHALLENGES on FUTRE 6G RELEASE

IEEE ICCC 2023 Workshop on

TRENDS AND CHALLENGES on FUTURE 6G RELEASE

Dalian, China|10-12 August 2023

Scope:

While 5G is still moving at a rapid pace toward a global standard, the focus has now gradually shifted to 6G solutions. Since 3GPP has official initiated R18 and R19 namely 5G-Advanced on 2021, it assumes the first study phase of 6G standard may come around Release 20. This workshop aims at understanding the latest trends and potential challenges on 6G standards and wants to provide a unique opportunity for some industries and researches to share their future requirements, but also to outline issues, obstacles they see impeding progress. The workshop is also organized with the purpose of disseminating information about 3GPP technology areas and timelines related to future releases. As moving into the 6G era, identifying the workshop as a way to start getting into the 3GPP standard.

Topics:

This series topic seeks articles on recent researches and future directions for 5G-A and 6G standards. Papers describing original work are solicited. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Satellite, UAV and Robots into 6G communications
  • industry private networks
  • requirements and gaps of vertical industries for the future 3GPP Releases.
  • service continuity for UE-satellite-UE communication
  • integrated sensing and communication
  • intelligent network architecture and key technologies
  • massive zero-power IoTs
